Your “Why”
Let’s dive into this thing! One of the MOST fundamental things that will keep you grounded in this business and be your armor against the spears of flaming negativity is the very reason you got into it in the first place. So my question to you is why? Why do you want to begin this journey? Well, to answer that I’ve got a few questions for you that will help you in developing your WHY and I’m going to answer them myself first. Oh, one other thing your DRIVING factor MUST be more than money…!
1. What does your family mean to you? EVERYTHING! I’m originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and all of my family is back there. We’re all getting older and because of that we need to have certain things in place and having the necessary resources available will help.
2. What do you want for your own personal growth? I want to become a servant leader and have an open hand of resources for the various charities around the world. I want to go to places like Liberia on a missions trip with my church as well. My end goal is to have impacted as many lives as I can in this lifetime.
3. What you want to accomplish in your lifetime? Answered in previous question. I want to impact as many lives as I can in this lifetime by whatever means I can.
4. What scares you to death? When I was younger it was becoming one of those “old-tired-brothers” still in the club! Now its becoming one of the elderly people that go to a casino or other gaming establishment because I have no passive income streams, friends or family to speak of and being a “high-roller” there “makes me somebody” and I’ve given up on my dreams..!
5. What would it mean to you to help others change their lives? I’ve fulfilled my God-given destiny and thought of and help others. I pray that I will hear the words, “Well done good and faithful servant.” That is PRICELESS..!
6. What really excites you in life? Seeing someone get the first of their commissions, rank advancement and watch the belief that they can do it as I have grow. That too is PRICELESS..!
7. What REALLY makes you angry about your life? Self-Serving people and dishonest people who don’t do what they say they are going to do..!
8. What would you like to give the people you love most? Successional planning and generational wealth
9. What really, really gets you emotional? Thinking about the times I said “NO” to various opportunities in my life or listened to some dream-stealer tell me it couldn’t be done and why. I could be so much further along today. Thank God I’ve started.
10. What motivates you to get up off the couch? For me it’s a big leather chair and just thinking about this business and where I want to go is enough. I’m constantly seeking out the industry leaders and getting their input.
11. What gets you to turn the TV off? I don’t watch alot of television nowadays except for an occasional Lakers, Chargers, Phillies, Yankees game and then I don’t usually watch the whole game because I think I’ll cause them to lose. Alot of sports fans are superstitious that way. I’ll watch a movie with my wife too but we’ll end up falling asleep sometimes.
12. What would motivate you to call someone who has asked for information on your business? I usually make contact with my clients as soon as I get a text on my phone or email. I know this is someone that I can help and I need to get ahold of them immediately!
